Logitech declares that its Romer-G buttons are much faster as well as much more long-lasting than completing mechanical switches. The media secrets remain blue, the macro account keys stay orange. Logitech Gaming Software makes the entire process extremely easy. If you want secrets to light up and darken at random, or transform colors when pressed, you can do that.

I especially took pleasure in programming the 1 secret mapped to one of my key skills in Star Wars: The Old Republic to be green before I pressed it, red when I pushed it and also yellow throughout that the skill needed to reenergize.

November 15, AM edited November Hey I realize this is a low priority request. Is there any way to change this G lighting config where there is some backlight to the rest of the keyboard and not just the V?

Don't get me wrong. I like the V. But after the round is over and the screen is black waiting for the next game I cant see anything to type correctly? Thanks for your consideration. November 15, AM. Wouldn't this be more suited in a Logitech forum? Or am I just confused regarding your question. You should be able to change your profile in the "game mode settings" section of your logitech software.

The "V" is indeed pretty bad lol. Defeats the purpose of having backlit keys. November 20, AM. Guys who don't have the keyboard don't understand. The problem isn't with the keyboard or your settings. The problem is BF5 overrides the lights and turns out all the keys.

If you game in a dark room you can't see the keyboard anymore. Sometimes when you quit, BF5 leaves the keyboard in the V and doesn't let the keyboard go back to defaults. November 20, AM edited November NicDrywall is correct. In the Logitech setting the "Logitech Gaming Software" says specifically that the BFV profile is managed by the game engine and not personal setting. That means whatever you do in the app will be overridden when you play BFV. My pic wasn't very good since my monitor on the left was showing some light on the keys.

When it isn't, and you are in between rounds, it is near impossible to discern where the "home keys" are for touch typing. Forum Admin can you put this in its proper forum?Released in and upgraded inidentified by model number In result of a non-proper setting of the keyboard lights, the lights my stay OFF.

First, check the setting and make sure your light option is ON. If it's ON, then you need to reconnect the cord from the computer. Also, you can test the keyboard with another computer. In result of spilled drinks, keys get stuck and refuse to push.

You can try to put it back on the keyboard, making sure nothing is stuck below. Then, try to push it gently until you hear a click. Make sure that you put the key in the correct direction to avoid breaking the board. Computers have problems connecting with USB ports when it has missing updates. One common solution is to check the cord that is not broken. Then, plug the cord out from the computer and plug it in to another USB port.

The board flash memory is responsible for that, and most of the time it lacks the setting of colors. There is two common ways to troubleshoot that.

One of them is to activate lighting, and the second one is to customize lighting setting in Logitech G Software. Open Logitech Gaming Software and click on the light bulb icon, click the commands lighting mode icon. Under the Options tab, click Set Command Colors. The Commands list will appear on your left. Select the colors you want. Then, check the cable that is connected. Check the microphone volume and make it higher. If the microphone is still not working, restart the game application and the whole Logitech software.

It works on previous version which helps speed up the model and design production process. The lights also do not switch to the new profile like in the previous versions of Revit as well.

This leads me to believe that Logitech may have changed the way the keyboard input works for the software because it works with the previous versions. I doubt Autodesk has changed the software to cause this issue or it would have appeared earlier. Thank you. Studios - February 3 Reply. The Orion Spark is hardly cheap, but it is comfortable, user-friendly and drop-dead gorgeous. If the Orion Spark is any indication of what's to come, the next few years look good for keyboard enthusiasts. The first thing I noticed about the Orion Spark is that it's an enormous keyboard, measuring Compare this to the similar Razer BlackWidow Ultimatewhich measures You can make the Orion Spark even bigger by choosing the larger of two included armrests they're both pretty comfortable, for what it's worth.

Aside from its size, the Orion Spark looks rather unusual. The keys and the letters on them are huge, and each key has two distinct indentations on the sides. I wasn't sure what to think at first, since the indentations are angular, rather than the round conformation that's been standard on every other keyboard I've ever reviewed.

However, these indentations gave my fingers solid purchase on every key and grew on me over time.

The W, A, S, D and arrow keys also have striking designs on them, as if to remind players that this is where your fingers will rest most of the time. It doesn't affect gameplay one way or another, yet it's a nice aesthetic touch. The Orion Spark is a mechanical keyboard, but it brings a totally new kind of switch to the table. Logitech claims that its Romer-G switches are faster and more durable than competing mechanical switches.

This may be true, but while the keys worked well, I did not notice a significant difference between them and the industry-standard Cherry MX switches.

If you've ever used a device with Cherry MX Brown switches or a reasonable imitation thereofthe Romer-G keys feel very similar to that. With a low actuation of TK g, registering keystrokes felt effortless, and the keys had a bit of tactility to them, even though they were fairly quiet. While they didn't quite measure up to the Cherry switches, they're not far off, and should please gamers who don't like the clackety noise endemic to many mechanical keyboards.

Whether or not Romer-G switches really respond faster than Cherries, I did not find that they were any better or worse for typing than a standard membrane office keyboard. Both the Orion Spark and my everyday Dell device gave me a score of 95 words per minute with a 1-percent error rate on the Ten Thumbs Typing Test.Pick up the Logitech G if you want a top-of-the-line wireless gaming keyboard with no compromises.

It's a sleek, attractive peripheral with satisfying mechanical switches, cool low-profile key caps, a full media bar, two kinds of wireless connectivity and generous battery life.

Moreover, it's not a tenkeyless model, it doesn't require AA batteries and it doesn't require tedious keyboard shortcuts to record macros.

Solved: G910 orion spark problems

Aside from a missing wrist rest and really, a keyboard this thin and this expensive should come with onethere's very little to criticize in the G It's absolutely everything I wanted to see in a wireless gaming keyboard, no compromises required. When Logitech first showed me the G via video chat, an engineer held up a dime next to the keyboard's chassis, in order to demonstrate that the coin was wider than the device.

I was sure this was a trick of the webcam, but it wasn't. When I got the G in my hands, I held it up to my own pocket change and realized that it was, indeed, thinner. That's an impressive feat for a fully mechanical model. The keyboard itself is gorgeous, with a brushed-metal-style finish over a sturdy plastic chassis.

Each key has an ultrathin key cap over a small mechanical switch, much like the fantastic Roccat Vulcan. There's a column of macro keys on the far left as well as three macro-proflie keys and a macro record button above the F1 to F4 keys. And, off on the upper right, there's a full media key section, complete with a volume dial. Every keyboard needs one of these, and the buttons work beautifully on the G One quibble here is that the five extra buttons on the left are, for most players, only situationally useful.

Including them extends the keyboard's length to It can make a difference if your desk space is limited. Furthermore, the G doesn't come with a wrist rest, which is a problem when you're dealing with such a thin, low-to-the-ground keyboard. Even using third-party wrist rests isn't necessarily a solution, since most of them are higher than the keyboard itself. The G uses a brand-new kind of switch — or, more accurately, it uses three.

These new, low-profile mechanical switches aim to give just as much key travel as Logitech's Romer-G switches, but in a much smaller, more stylish package. As a fan of Blues, I set myself up with the GL Clicky and have thoroughly enjoyed my experience with them so far.

Each switch features a key travel of 2. The GL Linear is quiet and requires you to press it all the way down to register commands, the GL Tactile is quiet and actuates before you hit the bottom and the GL Clicky is noisy and actuates before you hit the bottom. It's worth pointing out that the Clicky keys seem to be a little quieter — or at least a little less intense — than Cherry Blues.

I sit right next to my boss, so asked him if I should change them out for a quieter peripheral. He said that they sounded like "white noise" to him, which is high praise as keyboard sounds go.

However, the low-profile switches do take a little getting used to. On a Typing.

The smaller key caps made it easier to accidentally hit an adjacent button, and the Clicky keys felt a little more resistant than the Brown-style Romer-Gs. The G runs on the Logitech G Hub software, which is pretty good as these programs go.Are you looking for the solution to your computer problem? Join our site today to ask your question.
