The number in parentheses placed after the quest's title is recommended by devs level at which you should perform quest's tasks. Marker - means quest has no recommended level. Geralt knew Uma currently resided at Crow's Perch. The baron's bandits, hungry for a bit of unrefined entertainment, had made Uma their jester. Geralt knew he would have to put an end to this farce, take the unfortunate being from Velen and, with Yennefer's help, try to lift the curse that held him.
Quest completed. Vesemir told Geralt that Yennefer had set up her trusty megascope as soon as she arrived at Kaer Morhen, but could not get it to function for the life of her. This news greatly troubled the witcher. If Yennefer was planning to use her megascope, that meant a conversation with other sorceresses was in the works - and that in turn meant scheming, politics and other things Geralt truly could not stand. The task of preparing the phylactery fell to Lambert, to his great dissatisfaction.
His discontent came as no surprise to me when I learned of it - Lambert was not the most obliging of fellows, and Yennefer, well, let us just say she was not his favorite individual. Nevertheless, Lambert agreed to do the job, and Geralt felt he had no choice but to accompany him. Yennefer asked - or rather, if I am to be completely honest with you, dear reader, ordered - Geralt to help Eskel hunt a forktail. The sorceress needed ingredients from this dangerous beast's body and clearly thought two witchers would get the job done sooner than one.
Geralt thus set out to track the monster - but first, he had to find Eskel. Yet in a surprise twist, Vesemir demanded they wait. The old witcher wanted to try his own, less risky method before the sorceress went about her invasive business. The others all bowed to his seniority and wisdom and let him take Uma to treat as he wished - leaving them with an unexpectedly free evening to fill.
Eskel timidly suggested they spend this time productively, but this suggestion lost out to a more attractive alternative - a night of drink and camaraderie. Traveling via Geralt's most beloved means of transport, teleportation, Yennefer reached Kaer Morhen first - and immediately started bossing everyone around.
Not only did she divvy out chores to the witchers like a schoolmarm whipping lazy pupils into order, she also refused to reveal any details of her plans. Though Geralt was not exactly charmed by this behavior, he knew he had to help her - for Ciri's sake.
The witcher hoped their longstanding relationship and the sorceress' concern for the fate of the world would incline her to take part in the battle. A direct fight against Eredin and the Wild Hunt had become inevitable, and Geralt knew he could never defeat them alone.
He thus decided to seek out allies - and his first steps took him to Novigrad. Nowhere in the world can one find warriors braver than those born in Skellige, and thus Geralt set off to those isles in his hunt for allies to stand with him against the Wild Hunt.
He won't come to Kaer Morhen but he will give you a family heirloom. He agrees to join you in Kaer Morhen. Whether she become the queen or not, she has important duties to attend to and can't help you in Kaer Morhen. Whether he become the king or not, he will join you in Kaer Morhen. Geralt realized the fight against Eredin and his soldiers would most likely be the most difficult challenge he had ever faced.
In addition, the stakes were higher than ever before - this time he was not fighting for his own life, but for that of Ciri and, by extension, the entire world. Since extraordinary circumstances call for extraordinary measures, the witcher decided to swallow his pride and go to the emperor of Nilfgaard for help. After a long search Geralt was at last a step from his goal. Avallac'h had hid Ciri from the Hunt on the magical Isle of Mists, which could only be reached if fate deemed one worthy - or by following a magic firefly, which was decidedly the easier option.
Geralt thus readied himself to sail to the isle and bring back Ciri. Get ready for a lot of story telling and then new quest - The Battle of Kaer Morhen Possession has The Witcher 3 players assisting Cerys an Craite in a quest to save a troubled jarl.
Wait a moment after the pair retire and the door unlocks, then speak with Hjolt again.

He suggests you visit the village. Eiric was last seen on a beach a short trot away, so hoof it over there.
When you dispatch them Eiric refuses to say where Cerys is, but you can either use Axii for the bonus XP or just tell him an Craite is worried to get the intel you need. With that done, head up the hill to the old Udalryk home, long since abandoned. Follow them or just stumble across her passed out in a corner of a corridor. She believes Udalryk is haunted by the ghost of his brother, whom he may have let drown.
Agree to assist her, then go back inside the house and locate the cellar key in the middle bedroom. Use it to open the cellar trapdoor in the north of the main room. The sword is pretty obvious, sitting on a table; pause a moment after you grab it and watch the wall by Geralt for an eerie interlude.
Back outside, head to the longhouse with Cerys. You can sail, swim or wade around to a sandbar right by the search area, where a couple of Drowners await you. Remember you can use your crossbow underwater for easy kills.
Interact with the body to drop Brokvar. You can now elect to defeat the Hym in combat or trickery. I think trickery is the most satisfying, but do what you will; both options are outlined below.
Visit the abandoned house with Cerys and look around. Examine the large fireplace in the main room, then check out the middle bedroom to see an illusion. Agree to trust Cerys and do as she says. You have a limited time to respond; remember to trust Cerys! In this option, you chat with Udalryk and Hjort and explain that Udalryk must spend the night in the abandoned house so Geralt can lure out and kill the Hym.
Prep your silver blade with Specter Oil, grab any Silver Dust bombs you have handy, and be sure to have decent Axii and Igni skills equipped. Light the four torches to commence battle. The key mechanic here is to use Axii on Udalryk whenever he loses his shit and runs out of the room. When the Hym is close to death it vanishes and you have to follow it into the cellar to finish the job. If you were successful in either venture, Udalryk is saved from the influence of the Hym, and will recover in time.
Crach an Craite cannot attend the battle, but will gift you with a unique sword to aid your efforts. Visit him in his keep at Kaer Trlde, or at the Coronation site Gedyneith. Whether Cerys or Hjalmar rules Skellige, Hjalmar will come to your aid in the battle ahead. To secure his services, you must have helped settle the succession by completing the following quests, then check in with both of the siblings:. If you kept these two rascals alive during the Lord of Undvik quest, both will accompany Hjalmar to Kaer Morhen.
Find him either at Kaer Trolde, or at the Coronation site Gedyneith. With these tasks complete you can attend to Brothers in Arms: Velen and Brothers in Arms: Novigrador if you have completed all three regions, go on to The Isle of Mists. Here are our recommendations for getting the job done in Skellige: Crach an Craite Crach an Craite cannot attend the battle, but will gift you with a unique sword to aid your efforts.
I'm trying to find Cerys. The quest says, "Help Cerys unravel the riddle of Udalryk's madness," but I don't get a waypoint for it and I've no idea where to start looking. Crach says she went to some island I forget the namebut even with him telling me I still have no idea where it is. Showing 1 - 8 of 8 comments. David View Profile View Posts. I had the same issue with no waypoint. If you go to the island in the screenshot below, and follow the path up the hill toward the yellow marker till you come to a house, you'll find her there and the quest will initiate.

After talking to Crache to get the quest and get more information on what Cerys is doing, head towards Svorlag, to ask Udalryk where Cerys is. Afterwards, head to the village, and ask the villagers about Cerys. Talk to Bergthora about Cerys. She will tell you to go and find Eiric.
Once you find Eiric, sittin atop a rock, you'll notice that hes being attacked by drowners. After dealing with the drownerstalk with him to find out where Cerys is. He will tell you to look for Cerys in an abandoned home. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt - Episode #89 - Finding Cerys
You will need to climb up a mountain path to reach the abandoned house. You will eventually come to the abandoned house, and you can use your witcher senses to see Cerys trail. You'll find Cerys and she has passed out. When Cerys wakes, she tells Geralt that she thinks Udalryk's brother Aki's ghost is the one that is haunting Udalryk, and causing his visions, and once the family sword is return to Aki, the haunting will stop.
The next part of the quest will be to find the sword named Brokvar. Head back in the house, and find the cellar key in one of the rooms, once you have the key, enter the cellar. Inside the cellar you will find the sword Brokvar. Return to Cerys after you find the sword. Next you will head back to Udalryk to explain the plan of giving the Brokvar sword to Aki's bones. After talking with Udalryk, jump in a boat and head to the map marker where Aki's bones are. Once you arrive, dive into the water to search for the location of the bones.
You can use witcher senses to find it. If you encounter any Sirens in the water, you can kill them with your crossbow. After placing the sword on Aki, return to Udalryk. As you get close to Udalryk, you will hear a scream. It turns out that Udalryk tore out one of his eyes, just as the sword was given to Aki's bones. Talk to Udalryk, and Geralt will determine he knows what is haunting Udalryk.
There are two methods to deal with the monster. One is via a trick, the other is to spend a night at the house in with the one afflicted.
If you choose the trick, Cerys will come up with a plan to trick the monster. Do what she says, and this will cause the monster to leave Udalryk, and jump into Geralt, but it was tricked, so it will leave altogether.Home Discussions Workshop Market Broadcasts. Change language. I don't know if the quest tracker is glitched or if Cerys is in a locked part of the An Crait castle for me, but she's appearing as in a room behind a locked door, close to the basement with all of the booze.
Can anyone help me out with some info and what to do? Showing 1 - 7 of 7 comments. Cerys is in one of the upstairs bedrooms, next to her brothers room, up the stairs near the entrance to the castle.
Their father is in his study which is down the stairs beyond the mead hall. Have you started her quest already? I do recall their being a secret passage in the cellar that you have to use with her at a certain point in the quest. No problem. It does that sometimes. Minor glitches like that tend to appear for me when I've been playing for a few hours.
A reload or a quick restart of the game tends to clear everything up. I keep going back to her brother and her room and shes not there. Hell Ive checked the entire castle and reloaded multiple times. I don't have a tracker for Cerys or Hjalmar. There is not even and objective point. I think she's upstairs. Per page: 15 30 Date Posted: 31 May, pm. Posts: 7. Discussions Rules and Guidelines.

It tells the story of a conflict between the Matoran Mazeka and Vultraz. Mazeka dove aside even as the acid blade slashed through the air where he had been standing. He could hear the angry hiss of centuries-old rock dissolving where the sword had brushed against it.
A step slower and that would have been his armor. He hit the ground and rolled, ending up back on his feet with dagger at the ready. Vultraz twirled the blade over his head, smiling. You killed an entire village of Matoran who never did a thing to you. Mazeka lunged. Vultraz sidestepped and hit his foe with the flat of his blade, burning an impression of the weapon into his armor. Mazeka stumbled toward the edge of the cliff and caught himself just in time. The entire mountain slope was lined with razor crystals, sharp enough to shred armor and tissue into ribbons.
Go home, Mazeka. Go back to your little life, before you force me to end it. Mazeka scrambled to his feet, his back to the cliff. Vultraz was right — he was just a Matoran, with no elemental or mask power. Of course, Vultraz was too, but his old enemy had years of experience at lying, cheating and killing.
Up until a few years past, Mazeka had just been a scholar trying to solve the mysteries of the universe. That was before Vultraz killed his mentor and stole valuable tablets containing the results of years of research. The two had clashed many times since then, but the tablets had never been found. I was just the more ambitious of the two of us. I got out. Vultraz charged, swinging his blade Instead, he sliced away at the piece of rock upon which his enemy stood. It disintegrated before the acid and fell away.
