The frig and freezer are relatively new and work, the microwave works, we couldn't try the stove because there isn't any propane in this unit. We didn't try the hot water heater - no propane. This RV has a central vacuum system and it works fine.

I'm trying to figure out what gas mileage per gallon would a intuder get. I love this motor home and will not exchange for those diesel pusher,p. I was thinking about selling my GMC Vandura style RV back to the auto company that had rebuilt it so I could buy a bigger RV for half what they are willing to pay to get this one back, but after reading over a few different sites on such style RV's as what I was looking into, I believe I'll stick with my little old trusty GMC.

Can't wait to see what it's really like after I give it the much over due oil change, tune up, and carb rebuild. Thining I might just keep this old crate and add a good header fed exhaust system so it will breath out the butt a little better too. I think my large dog and myself can deal with the smaller area with the price of gas the way it is these days, those other people can keep their bigger gas hog. If anyone has any ideas to improve this, I would love to hear about it. A true tried and researched product for 13 years.

Sign up now. It is a Chevy Van 30, with a engine. Is there any advice for making better gas mileage. In todays engines it is advisable to replace the spark plug wires at the same time that you replace the spark plugs, which sould go at least 60, miles.

Unless you have a scope you really can't tell whether the wires ar good or not, also check the inside of the distributor cap, if it has signs of smoke inside like you get when you have an electrical short, replace the cap and rotor.

If these items don't help your mileage, it may be time to have a shop analyze the engine with a proper scope, and emissions analyzer to see how rich the engine is running, sometimes the carburetors start to allow unmetered gas to enter the fuel system. We also don't know much about camping with one however our brothers and sisters own travel trailers and want us all to go camping together. Well you can imagin my wife wants the larger motorhome, however I do not have time for vehicle repairs so that worries me and the expence of registering and insuring the vehice plus gas mileage.
